The Foundation’s main underwriting efforts support two types of programs:
HumanitarianCMA CGM’s Corporate Foundation seeks to promote the well-being of children, particularly children with disabilities or lengthy illnesses. Its dedication to children’s issues includes support of NGOs such as Handicap International and the International Red Cross. The Foundation is currently seeking a noteworthy or innovative long-term project in this area.
CulturalCMA CGM’s Corporate Foundation also supports many artistic and cultural activities (museums, the opera, theaters, dance, music, and the arts). The Foundation has acquired a collection of contemporary art and recently established an award to honor an outstanding artist.
In 2007, CMA CGM's Corporate Foundation awarded this prize to N+N Corsino, Nicole and Norbert Corsino, choreogrpahers and researchers interested in new technologies.
The pair expresses its choreographic creations in the form of films and "scenographic" installations that have been shown at the Pompidou Center in Paris in 2006 and in Marseilles in 2007.
Selected as the first-ever winners of the prize awarded at CMA CGM headquarters in Marseilles on December 3, 2007, N+N Corsino presented an excerpt of their latest work,
Seule avec loup, at headquarters.
