CMA Rail holding coordinates the group’s rail activity in the world
The main activity of CMA Rail consists of developing the rail activity abroad (out of Europe) for the Group CMA CGM, notably by putting in place partnerships in Northern Africa, India and China.
CMA Rail also does consulting and valuation on opportunity studies for rail development in several countries.

RAIL LINK EUROPE develops the group’s rail activity in Europe.
RAIL LINK EUROPE, created in 2007, offers its customers (shipping companies, ground shipping companies and freight forwarders) innovating rail services with regular trains in private traction between major port terminals and Europe’s chief economic regions. Its two rail hubs located in Ludwigshafen (Germany) and Lyon (France) allow numerous connections within Germany and towards Eastern Europe on the one hand and to Germany and the Benelux on the other hand.

RAIL LINK ALGERIE develops the group’s rail activity in northern Africa.
In joint venture with SNTF (Société Nationale Des Transports Ferroviaires), CMA Rail started its activity beginning of 2009 and plans to extend it further until end of the year in order to operate the rail service from Bejaia – Rouiba (dry port of Alger) on a regular basis.
