Customer Advisory - Release Order (Vila do Conde)

Dear Customer,

Please be informed about an update on our procedures for EMPTY EQUIPMENT RELEASE, effective as from September 20th, 2021, for the following port: Vila do Conde.

From the mentioned date on, when generating your booking on our website, through CLICK & BOOK, you are invited to enter the expected DATE of withdrawal of the empty container in the field " Comments" (the same applies to requests via multicarrier portals). Subsequently, if you need to request a change of date, please contact our Customer Service team via email at least five days in advance.

As soon as the booking process is completed, the RELEASE CONFIRMATION will be created automatically, based on the informed estimated date. Thereafter, the document will be available via E-MAIL. Parameterization process to receive the information:

• Via E-MAIL: If the booking requester is interested in receiving the RELEASE CONFIRMATION via e-mail, he / she should contact the CMA CGM Customer Service team through the e-mail and inform the e-mail addresses to be added to the registration in the system (“CADASTRO REL”).

According to the designated terminal, you are supposed to contact the depot to schedule the collection of the empty equipment. If you need additional information, please access for details about current providers.

The terminal will receive a direct notification from CMA CGM with confirmation of release.

With this new procedure, CMA CGM seeks to optimize the process for releasing empty containers; however, it is essential that the customer informs the desired exact date of collection for the equipment.

If the person responsible for the booking does not inform the desired date of collection, it will be considered to send the CONFIRMATION OF RELEASE 10 (ten) days before the ETA of the boarding ship.
