CMA CGM El Salvador offers its customers the Export and Import service through Puerto Cortes in Honduras

The CMA CGM Group, the world's leading shipping group, is pleased to announce the Freight Transport Service to its customers through access to Puerto Cortes, Honduras.

According to recent statistics, the OPC terminal in Ciudad Cortes is today more efficient than when it was operated by a mix of public operators with some private companies, but where there was no coordination.

In 2018, Puerto Cortes served 1,276 ships; however, in 2013 it received 1,227. The 675,000 TEUS (a TEU is equivalent to a 20-foot container) that it received in 2018 placed this Port as the first in the CA4 region, composed of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador in terms of movement by cargo, according to the ranking of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

CMA CGM serves the Puerto Cortes Service with two berths per week, being the main channel of communication with cargoes to the Caribbean, Eastern United States, Europe and many more destinations.
