Export Gabon: Release of empty containers

From 1st August 2019 CMA CGM Gabon announces that the deposit (MCTT or OCT) of withdrawal of empty containers export will be specified on the documents of release.

· OCT "Owendo Container Terminal"

The "release confirmation" will replace the current "booking confirmation". The release confirmation is issued by CMA CGM Gabon and authorizes the shipper to remove the empty container at the OCT terminal.

This confirmation of release must be sealed by the shipper who authorizes his carrier to remove the container under his responsibility.

The release confirmation is presented to OCT before the empty container is retrieved.

· MCTT Société de Manutention Consignation Transit et Transport The "booking confirmation" remains the same.

The booking confirmation is issued by CMA CGM Gabon and authorizes the shipper to remove the empty container at the MCTT depot.

This booking confirmation must be stamped by the shipper, who authorizes his carrier to remove the container under his responsibility.

The booking confirmation is presented to MCTT before the empty container is retrieved.

These empty container delivery documents are valid for 7 calendar days and renewable upon request from the shipper. Please contact Maillib.booking@cma-cgm.com and lib.shipping@cma-cgm.com .

CMA CGM stamps will no longer be attached to the booking confirmation from August 1st.
