ADVISORY # 744 | Port Regulation in Lagos _ Restriction on Out of Gauge and Break Bulk

We would like to share with you the information received from APMT Terminal Apapa and Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT) related to the restrictions imposed on Out of Gauge and Break bulk cargo bound for Lagos port of Apapa and Tin Can


According to the statements received by both Terminals. In a continued effort to improve the port productivity on vessel operations and to optimize the yard space utilization, AMPT and TICT terminals have reported constraints to temporarily suspend the discharge of all shipments in Out of Gauge and Break bulk


This new regulation will respectively take effect on 10 April, 2020 at the port of Apapa and 15th April at the port of Tin Can until further notice. Therefore, we regret to inform you OOG and break bulk booking can no longer be accepted until further notice.


We deeply apologize for any disturbances caused by such unexpected situation and shall keep you closely posted on the port evolution when booking OOG / BB can be resumed
