Naïla Saadé is the President of the CMA CGM Corporate Foundation she founded in 2005 to support projects relating to children with disabilities and illnesses.
The Foundation aims to:
- Encourage the personal development of children with disabilities
- Improve the everyday lives of children who are ill
- Promote equal opportunities for underprivileged youngsters
In 2012, Naïla Saadé decided to put CMA CGM’s expertise at the service of two big French NGOs (non-governmental organizations), Action contre la Faim (Action Against Hunger) and Médecins Sans Frontières ( Doctors Without Borders). The Foundation launches its first major humanitarian operation in Africa: Containers of Hope, offering the transport of one hundred 20-foot containers.
in 2015, Naïla Saadéa was awared the "Médaille d’Honneur de la ville de Marseille" by Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseille and Senate's Vice President. This award, given by the City of Marseille, honors and thanks citizen who helped the city by their actions.
Every year, the Foundation awards 2 prizes to one association in France and the other one in Lebanon for their humanitarian projects.
