DETENTION CHARGES ON EXPORT CONTAINERS | REMINDER
Dear Valued Customer,
Considering the need of a quick turn-around of containers and to minimise container idle time, which has become imperative in view of the current acute shortage of equipment worldwide, CMA CGM will implement Detention charges on export containers from Ghana, as per standard practices in many countries worldwide.
However, CMA CGM has exceptionally granted 30 days Free Time, for all exports, to give exporters sufficient time to complete their stuffing and export formalities.
Effective 11th of July 2021 (pick-up date), Detention charges will apply on all export units from Ghana from empty pick-up date to gate-in date at MPS / GPHA as follows:
|Per teu / day||DRY||REEFER & SP|
|1 to 30 days||Free||Free|
|31 days to 40 days||$ 10||$ 25|
|41 days onwards||$ 25||$ 50|
Detention charges are payable in GHS at the exchange rate determined for vessel call and subject to Government tax.
