CONTAINER MAINTENANCE CHARGE (U.S. Imports)
Dear Valued Customer,
CMA CGM (America) LLC is announcing the following Container Maintenance Charge into tariff CMDU-100. This charge will go into effective June 1, 2019 and affect the following; all US import cargo for container maintenance.
Except as otherwise provided, for all U.S. import cargo a Container Maintenance Charge will apply of US$ 7.50 per TEU for all equipment types except Reefer equipment. The Container Maintenance Charge will cover container damages to up to US$ 500 per container. If maintenance and repair costs for any container exceeds US$ 500, the consignee will be responsible to pay the difference between the Carrier’s documented M&R invoice and US$ 500.
Exception – This Container maintenance charge does not apply to Shipper owned equipment types.
**All applicable rates, surcharges, and rules, including, where applicable, mandatory pricing elements under EU commitments can be located in the applicable Governing Tariffs.
