Direct delivery of hazardous cargo in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)
CMA CGM wishes to inform its customers that a new regulation for direct delivery of hazardous cargo is in place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). To cope with this regulation, CMA CGM insists that:
- CMA CGM will not accept commodities (such as mentioned in below chart) in LCL containers (where separate CMA CGM B/L is issued for each individual receiver).
- CMA CGM will not accept commodities in CONSOLIDATED containers (where one single CMA CGM B/L is issued for the whole container to Freight Forwarders for multiple actual receivers).
- CMA CGM will request a “DIRECT DELIVERY LOADING ADVICE” after loading such cargo for Jeddah so as to ensure consignee is duly advised in good time.
- CMA CGM will request that full style of actual receivers of such cargo (as Consignee or Notify party) be mentioned in cargo documents with name of person in charge (PIC) with his fax and mobile contact numbers.
