CMA CGM rationalizes its services on the Asia to East Coast of South America trade
In order to adapt to market conditions and rationalize the supply in the trade, CMA CGM has suspended its SEAS 3 service for its winter program as of October 3rd, 2013.
CMA CGM has decided to maintain service level to its customers and existing weekly frequency. Therefore CMA CGM will offer, effective November 8th, 2013, a new weekly fixed-day service SEAS 5 on the Asia to East Coast of South America trade.
The new SEAS 5 will start with M/V VALIANT ETA Shanghai along the following schedule: Shanghai (Fri) – Ningbo (Sun) – Yantian (Wed) – Hong Kong (Thu)– Singapore (Mon) – Santos (Tue) – Montevideo (Mon) – Buenos Aires (Wed) - Montevideo (Sat)– Paranagua (Fri) – Rio Grande (Sun) – Itapoa (Tue) – Santos (Thu) – Singapore (Fri) – Hong Kong (Wed) – Shanghai (Fri).
With all 3 services, capacity will be adjusted to trade's volumes.
Customers will continue to benefit from:
- an optimum market coverage
- an improved service level on key corridors
- 3 weekly departures from Asia with a maintained weekly frequency
