Black Sea and Ukraine situation update #3
As the crisis in Ukraine and the Black Sea region continues, the Group has decided to suspend all bookings to and from Belarus as of today and until further notice.
To support our customers, the following special conditions for the cargo ‘en-route’ to and from Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus are implemented until further notice:
- Full waiver of cancellation fees for your bookings on these destinations
- Change of Destination at cost. Please note that stowage or shifting costs may apply.
We continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea region. Our utmost priorities remain to protect our employees and ensure as much as possible the continuity of your supply chain.

We continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea region. Our utmost priorities remain to protect our employees and ensure as much as possible the continuity of your supply chain.
In the interest of safety, the Group has decided to suspend all bookings to and from Russia as of today and until further notice.
All our employees in Ukraine are reported safe and working from home. We continue to ensure constant contact with them. We are also taking all necessary measures for our seafarers.
We have raised our alert levels and took preventive measures to protect our IT systems as well as your personal and company data.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take additional measures as necessary to protect our employees, our crew members and to allow the transportation of our customers’ goods as much as possible.
Black Sea and Ukraine situation update #1 - 24/02/2022
The CMA CGM Group has been closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea region. Over the past several days, we have taken all necessary measures to protect our employees and ensure as much as possible the continuity of the supply chain.
The safety of our employees and their families in Ukraine is our main focus. We are thankful to report that at the moment all of them are safe.
As part of our business continuity plan, they will be working from home until further notice. Our security team will be monitoring developments 24/7 to ensure constant contact with them.
In the interest of safety, the Group has decided to suspend all vessel calls to Ukraine as of today and until further notice.
As a result:
- The BEX and BSMAR services will omit Odessa, Ukraine.
- Bookings to and from Odessa are suspended.
- The floating cargo to Ukraine will be redirected to the ports of Constanza (Romania), Tripoli (Lebanon) or Piraeus (Greece).
