Change in phone numbers in Cameroon

Please be informed that telephone numbers in Cameroon have changed from 8 to 9 digits.

The new format is as follows:
Dial "2" before all CAMTEL numbers currently starting with 2 or 3
Dial "6" before all mobile numbers currently starting with 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9
