REEFER ADVISORY 0723 – Concerning Bookings to Douala, Cameron, Cancels and replaces REEFER ADVISORY 0423

Douala RTC reefer terminal remains congested.
Since 12/04/23, discharge of reefer containers is allowed, only if receivers are able to take delivery under tackle and immediate loading onto trucks.
We can now accept to REOPEN REEFER SHIPMENTS TO DOUALA ONLY FOR RECEIVERS ABLE TO TAKE DELIVERY UNDER TACKLE.
NO BOOKING CAN BE ACCEPTED UNLESS COMPLYING STRICTLY WITH BELOW PROCEDURE:
-Containers for POD Douala are all transshipped in Kribi port;
-Before placing any booking, shipper must obtain firm commitment from their receiver that they are able to take delivery under tackle as per below conditions;
-Receiver must confirm to CMA --CGM Cameroon upon discharge in Kribi that
- They have gone thru all formalities to allow delivery under tackle in DOUALA
- They plan reloading on next feeder vessel to DOUALA;
- Free time applicable for transshipment in Kribi is 7 days. All costs incurring thereafter (storage, demurrage in Kribi terminal) will be on receiver’s account.
If receiver fails to take delivery under tackle in DOUALA as requested by DOUALA RTC Terminal, he will be invoiced for the return freight to Kribi, discharging/reloading costs, plugging of container. A Port Congestion Surcharge of USD600/EUR500 per container is applicable immediately on top of all Douala reefer freight rates and until further notice (See details HERE
We strongly suggest all receivers to accept POD KRIBI for all their imports. CMA-CGM and CEVA can propose trucking solutions to Douala and Yaounde. Do not hesitate to liaise with HO Reefer Team Referafrica or local agency Customer service should you need any more information
