CMA CGM China Launches New Intermodal Offerings in North China
CMA CGM, a global player in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, always aim to provide customers with high quality and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. We have developed a series of dedicated door-to-door services: CMA CGM Intermodal combining train, barge, and truck, following on from our shipping services. Recently, CMA CGM China has introduced 4 new railway corridors and a series of updated services in north China, aiming to deliver more convenience and better flexibility to our customers in China.
What are the new services launched in North China? We are glad to inform you that 4 new railway corridors have been launched recently. They are:
1. QIQIHAR, Heilongjiang province – DALIAN PORT
2. CHANGCHUN, Jilin province – DALIAN PORT
3. YINCHUAN, Ningxia province – TIANJIN PORT
4. CAOXIAN HEZE, Shandong province – QINGDAO PORT
What is the latest railway network in North China?
Including 4 new corridors, now we have 14 railway corridors covering 9 provinces and 1 cross border railway service to Outer Mongolia. Our railway corridors are linked with 50 maritime services in North China and provide customers with a global coverage thanks to our worldwide infrastructures for connectivity.
Are there any other modes of intermodal solutions that customers can choose?
Besides railway solutions, CMA CGM has a network of 18 barge corridors in north China and they cover Liaoning province, Shandong province and Hebei Province, offering a wide range of choices for customers with one through bill. Same as railway solutions, our 18 barge corridors (details in maps) connect with 50 maritime services, with the average barge transit of 2-3 days. Inland depots are available at inland barge service points, allowing customers to conduct equipment pick up and drop off.
Are intermodal services environmentally friendly?
Our dedicated block trains and barges enable customers to reduce carbon footprint. In 2024, CMA CGM China aims to reach CO2 savings of 4,660 tons in barge and railway transportation, compared with the road transportation. We are committed to working with customers and helping them reach their carbon reductions goals.
