INTERMODAL Notice - MALI Temporary service suspension November 2025

Dear Valued Customers,
Road transportation for cargo destined for Mali is currently facing severe operational difficulties, primarily due to safety concerns and a fuel shortage.
We inform you that road transportation for cargo destined for Mali via all ports of discharge including the Abidjan, Dakar, Tema and Conakry corridors is temporarily suspended until further notice.
Consequently, and with immediate effect, we will not accept any new bookings for cargo bound to Mali until the situation is resolved.
For all bookings accepted prior to this notice, in accordance with Clause 10 of our Bill of Lading, we hereby offer the following options for affected cargo:
• Return of the cargo to the port of loading, or
• Change of destination to another port or final place of delivery, or
• Deliver the cargo at the discharge port, where the Bill of Lading will be accomplished, or
• Storage of the cargo on behalf of the Merchant under the custody of CMA CGM from the date of discharge, at
Merchant’s costs until the final leg to Mali can be performed by road.
We remind that all additional costs and charges, including but not limited to return freight, storage, plugging, terminal handling charges, and all local demurrage charges, shall be for Merchant’s account and that Carrier shall not be liable for any loss or damage to cargo whatsoever arising out of this force majeure situation.
We invite you to liaise with your usual point of contact in CMA CGM Agency to communicate your chosen option.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation. Please note that these circumstances are beyond our control.
CMA CGM reserves all rights under applicable law and the terms and conditions of the Bill of Lading.
