Kenya : Container weight limitations on road

The Kenyan Authorities have announced a new rule on the maximum allowable weight of a container on its national roads.
According to this rule (Ref. MMN/1/1/02 from Kenyan Ports Authority), containers weighting more than 34 tons will not be allowed on Kenyan roads, effective September 16th, 2013.
This weight limit on Kenyan roads is not prevailing on the maximum gross weight (mentioned on the CSC plates) accepted in the containers.
